New product launches from the last month include a perimenopause focused supplement and digital support solution, a herbal range for sleep and mind focused products, and a plant-based ready-to-drink protein shake.

Support beyond supplements

Female health focused online supplements startup Health & Her has launched a new capsule product called 'Perimenopause Mind+' for mood and mind support during the early stages of perimenopause.

The supplement provides a blend of vitamins, minerals and botanicals shown to help with hormone balance, energy, psychological function and the nervous system – with red clover, a natural phytoestrogen,

and Ginkgo Biloba and Ginseng Panax to help preserve cognitive function and concentration.

Vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO and with no added preservatives or artificial colours, the one-a-day supplement has launched in conjunction with a free perimenopause symptom tool and tracker, offering practical, expert advice to help women understand and improve their own perimenopause experience.

The app includes symptom and cycle tracking, insights to help consumers identify where they are in their menopause journey, expert health advice, plus access to a library of resources and product recommendations from other women.

Health & Her also runs a Menopause GP Clinic - the UK’s first specialist CQC/HIW regulated online menopause GP service - offering an in-depth review of symptoms, tailored treatment plans and trusted information and advice from some of the UK’s top experts.

“Menopause is a life-stage, not an illness, and it’s good to see the subject being talked about more openly,” says Dr Kate Burns. “A recent questionnaire undertaken by West Midlands Police, who featured in the recent Davina McCall documentary on menopause, revealed that around 80% of women experienced symptoms that interfered with their ability to work, such as memory problems, fatigue and anxiety. This is a staggering number, so it’s really encouraging to see multi-symptom supplement ranges coming through to target specific symptoms. Plus being able to track everything in one place on an app will be a lifeline for many women, to let them know they aren’t alone and help them feel back in control.”

Sleep and stress range to the rescue

Emotional wellbeing supplements brand RESCUE is launching a natural wellbeing collection, offering a holistic approach in the sleep and stress categories.

Vegan friendly, sugar free, the collection is available in a number of different formats including a balm, capsules and spray, to suit each individual preference.Combining the brand's signature RESCUE essences with a unique fusion of natural ingredients including Saffron, CBD, Ashwagandha, Ginkgo Biloba and Passion Flower, the collection will appeal to the growing consumer group seeking natural products for their everyday wellness routines, day and night.

The 'Peaceful Night Collection' provides ingredients for a restful night's sleep including CBD, Lavender, Chamomile, Ashwagandha, Lemon Balm, Magnesium, Vitamin B6 and RESCUE flower essences. The range offers three formats - balm, spray, and capsules.

The 'Day Collection' - including Balance & Positivity Capsules and Fresh & Focus Capsules - aims to help consumers remain balanced and positive throughout busy days, with ingredients such as  Saffron, L’Theanine, B Vitamins, Ginkgo Biloba, Omega 3 vegan DHA, and RESCUE flower essences

Emma Wright, UK brand manager for RESCUE Remedy: "The current value of the stress and sleep market in the UK is around £53.6m, and it keeps growing as the demands of modern lifestyles put our minds and bodies under increasing pressure. The pandemic and consequent lockdowns have created a national focus and growing awareness of mental health, including the importance of sleep. As the country reopens, the daily commute returns and life becomes more hectic, this focus on sleep is unlikely to disappear creating an opportunity for more calming sleep remedies to help us navigate our increasingly complex world."

No compromise plant protein shake

BodyHero

Following the successful launch of the brand's first plant based protein bar and protein powder, Bodyhero has announced the launch of its first Ready-To-Drink vegan protein shake.

All Bodyhero products have been designed to deliver 20g of premium quality protein in every serving. The Ready-To-Drink shake continues this promise, delivering 20g of premium European pea protein isolate, in addition to 5g of fibre from chicory root - providing 17% of your daily allowance in one serving - and only 151 calories and 5g of sugar per serving.

Speaking of the new Ready-To-Drink shake, Managing Director Andy Birch says “I was shocked to find that most of the plant-based protein shakes on the market don’t taste great at all, and many have more sugar per 100ml than they do protein! Often, they are also full of artificial ingredients and high in calories, fat and carbs.

"What we have developed has never been done before in creating something that tastes this good, with the highest levels of protein and fibre, whilst maintaining much lower calories, carbs, sugar and fat.”

As with all Bodyhero products, uniquely, the Ready-To-Drink shakes are allergen friendly, Informed Sport accredited, Vegan Society Registered and Heavy Metal tested.
