The APAC MD of Factors Group, owner of brands such as Natural Factors and Bioclinic Naturals, will be unwrapping innovation opportunities across microbiome nutrition at our forthcoming Growth Asia Summit in Singapore.

The three day event will take place at the iconic Marina Bay Sands venue from 11-13 October.

It will feature extensive expert insights from a raft of big-name brands, leading academics, policy experts, and the most innovative suppliers, all focusing on the region with biggest growth potential for food, beverage, supplements, functional products and nutrition – Asia.

The 2022 face-to-face summit will feature:

  • Day one dedicated to Healthy Ageing, incorporating our long-standing Healthy Ageing APAC Summit, in a region where 1.3bn people will be over the age of 60 by 2050.
  • Day two will be dedicated to Probiotics, Prebiotics and the Microbiome, incorporating our established Probiota Asia summit, as we connect the worlds of business and science in these fascinating, and booming, categories.
  • And day three will be dedicated to Protein, incorporating our Protein Vision event, as we shine the spotlight on one of the fastest-growing categories, plant-based protein, as well as detailing the latest innovation in the emerging cultivated product space, and of course the traditional meat, dairy and seafood sectors.

Today we can reveal that Evan Hayes, the APAC MD at Factors Group, will deliver a keynote talk titled ‘Innovation unwrapped: Navigating new product development opportunities beyond traditional probiotics and prebiotics’.

His synopsis sates: “Probiotic usage is advancing at a rapid pace. Continued progress in technology and understanding of the microbiome have led to developments and innovations in the multi biome, which has then led to a growth in new customers, and new market opportunities outside of gut health. Adjacencies such as postbiotics and prebiotics reached threshold concept levels and are now readily (even if still poorly understood) utilised by the consumers.”

Key takeaways will include:

  • An analysis of the growing spectrum of pre, pro, post and scobiotics
  • The latest understanding of these can synergistically enhance the microbiome
  • The burgeoning opportunities for such products outside of gut health

Evan is a highly experienced Managing Director and Board member and has over 20 years of commercial and leadership experience within the healthcare and biotechnology sectors. He is considered a world leader in probiotics and has been responsible for notable leaps in this space, most recently with a world first ‘Scobiotics’ product.
