With headline-grabbing cardiac arrests and head injuries in American football on the rise, a new study says that Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) omega-3 supplementation could reduce the impact of risks on the field.
"As collegiate sponsorship opportunities have recently changed, we recognized an opportunity to work with student-athletes and athletic programs like the University of Miami,” said Dan Macuga, chief communications and marketing officer at USANA.
High-dose omega-3 supplements may give NCAA American Football athletes protection from repetitive head injury as well as conferring cardiovascular benefits, suggests a new study.
