Rousselot puts collagen solutions for holistic well-being centre stage
Ageing global population and demographic changes call for a new generation of nutritional solutions to support bone and joint health, notes industry leader Rousselot, with the market value of supplements aimed at supporting mobility set to grow by 4.7% CAGR by 2026 (Euromonitor).
The global producer of collagen-based solutions for the food, health and nutrition, biomedical, and pharmaceutical sectors, will be presenting products and offering testers at booth I114.
Additionally, Rousselot’s health and nutrition global business development manager, Florencia Moreno Torres, will be hosting an expert session entitled “Tapping into holistic well-being with collagen peptides” at the New Ingredients Theatre.
They will be showcasing their key collagen peptides brand Peptan. This ingredient combines multiple science-backed benefits and has been developed to provide functional properties, ranging from helping consumers stay active and mobile at various stages of life, to boosting beauty from within and improving sports recovery.
Another highlight product being presented is Colatrix, a unique hydrolysed cartilage matrix made of naturally occurring collagen peptides and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) for joint health. In a recently published consumer study, Colatrix was shown to decrease joint discomfort across gender, age, and sport intensity. This finding reinforces the belief that collagen peptides have multiple health benefits.
The product can be used in a variety of applications, including dietary supplements, functional foods, and beverages.
In addition to its joint health benefits, Colatrix is also backed by Rousselot's commitment to sustainability, where the company's sourcing and production methods are designed to minimise waste and reduce its environmental impact.
Attendees will get to experience the versatility of these ingredients, as Rousselot will showcase a range of samples from its application centre, including a new, peach flavoured "Beyond Beauty" drink featuring Peptan and probiotics, as well as mobility gummies featuring Colatrix.
In addition to the collagen products on display, Rousselot will showcase its gelatin solution Stabicaps, specifically designed to achieve more stable softgels, as they are “tailored to prevent cross-linking, therefore increasing their stability”.
Additionally, SiMoGel, a gelatin technology solution that enables the production of nutraceutical gummies in a starch-free environment, will be on display. Samples will be available of the 3D gummies, peppermint flavoured sugar-free gummies, and filled gummies.
