Active Nutrition Summit: First speakers revealed!
As we come close to the Early Bird ticket deadline for NI's Active Nutrition Summit 2023, we reveal some of the first confirmed speakers to join the agenda, which is already packed with diverse and engaging content.

The newly branded three day conference, taking place in Amsterdam on October 9-11, is an evolution of NI's prominent annual Sports & Active Nutrition Summit which has been a calendar highlight since 2018.

This year's event will provide delegates with insights into the increasingly holistic and mass market view of 'sports' nutrition, with elite athletes and weekend warriors alike looking for way to stay healthy and active no matter their demographic or performance target.

Content pillars will cover the hottest topics in the industry today, including cognitive health and esports, women’s health, life-stages nutrition, and personalisation.

Audience (6)

Expert speakers will provide insights into the latest science, regulation, product innovation, trends and marketing strategies, with presentations and panel discussions which delve into the microbiome, botanical discoveries, technological advancements, to name just a few.

We will hear from ESSNA's vice chair and commercial director at Bulk, Simon Jurkiw, who will provide a rundown of the latest need-to-know regulatory updates for sports nutrition players.

Personalised nutrition luminary Mariette Abrahams will provide a picture of where things stand in the personalised nutrition space, with discussion of the newest tech and services on the market and a vision of what's to come.

Offering insights into how personalised nutrition and tech can be used to improve performance in sports, Liam Brown, Scientist at Gatorade Sport Science Institute, PepsiCo Life Sciences, will reveal some of the latest research being carried out within athletic populations.

Joining the conversation on personalisation and the ethical considerations of this industry, we will hear insights from Nard Clabbers Founder NCNC Nutrition Consultancy, Theo Wiley, Founder and CEO at Myoform, and Dr. Paul Hammer, CEO & Founder at BIOMES.

Honorary Clinical Lecturer at University College London, Dr Nicky Keay, will provide insights into the physiological differences between men and women and how women's hormonal cycles impact their nutrition needs at different stages in their lives.

The agenda will include a pillar of sessions devoted to the subject of cognitive health and how to support active consumers and athletes in this respect, through nutrition and supplementation. This pillar will kick off with an overview, from Lux Research, of who is playing in this space today and the different innovations and collaborations with a brain health focus.

Morning Run

With social media and influencer marketing becoming essential for any brand looking to succeed in the health and nutrition industry, ANS delegates will gain insights from experts at Augmentum Media, who will describe how to implement the right online strategy.

But the event is about more than what's on stage, with a three day programme of networking opportunities including a roundtable lunch, dinner and drinks receptions, a morning run, and regular networking agenda breaks.
