Active Nutrition Summit: Last call for startup stars and early birds!
The agenda for the three day conference (October 9-11), in Amsterdam, is bursting with leading experts from academia and industry, with content that covers some of the most exciting aspects of the active nutrition market today - women's health, cognitive health, life-stage nutrition, marketing strategies, and personalised nutrition.
In the run-up to the event, NutraIngredients is looking for three 'Start-Up Stars' to join the event as special guests. If selected as a Start-Up Star by our editorial panel, entrants will receive: A full delegate place at the conference, a place on the event programme taking part in the startup panel live on stage, business branding on the Start-up Hub situated within the networking area summit, coverage in NutraIngredients including a preview article, and the opportunity to appear in multimedia coverage of the event.
Elsewhere in the programme, decision makers from Holland & Barrett will join the stage to reveal how the retail giant is making big changes in-line with the evolving sports nutrition category and working to better cater to the female consumer.
Honorary Clinical Lecturer at University College London, Dr Nicky Keay, will provide insights into the physiological differences between men and women and how women's hormonal cycles impact their nutrition needs at different stages in their lives.
Also providing insights into female physiology with the latest research into female athletes, we will hear from Dr Sharon Madigan, Head of Performance Nutrition at Sport Ireland Institute (SII).
On the subject of cognitive health, Simon Church from CBD Performance, will discuss the demand for natural solutions for sleep and mind health support, and how his experience as a pro-athlete drove his interest in CBD.
ESSNA's vice chair and commercial director at Bulk, Simon Jurkiw, will provide a rundown of the latest need-to-know regulatory updates for sports nutrition players.
Personalised nutrition luminary Mariette Abrahams will provide a picture of where things stand in the personalised nutrition space, with discussion of the newest tech and services on the market and a vision of what's to come.
Offering insights into how personalised nutrition and tech can be used to improve performance in sports, Liam Brown, Scientist at Gatorade Sport Science Institute, PepsiCo Life Sciences, will reveal some of the latest research being carried out within athletic populations.
Joining the conversation on personalisation and the ethical considerations of this industry, we will hear insights from Nard Clabbers Founder NCNC Nutrition Consultancy, Theo Wiley, Founder and CEO at Myoform, and Dr. Paul Hammer, CEO & Founder at BIOMES.
But the event is about more than what's on stage, with a three day programme of networking opportunities including a roundtable lunch, dinner and drinks receptions, a morning run, and regular networking agenda breaks.
