After decades of navigating the complexities of regulatory compliance, Emma Hunt and Kathryn Szymonowicz took their knowledge and used it to launch Rubicon Bridge, a software that helps other businesses to overcome regulatory challenges and achieve international growth.

By ensuring regulatory compliance and providing instant labeling and eCommerce text, businesses can launch their brands in multiple European markets. Rubicon Bridge is continuously developing product categories and expanding into additional countries and just launched in the United States.

“We've been humbled and delighted actually in equal measure by the feedback that we've got and the support we've had from partners in the US. What we've learned is that there is a real genuine appetite for US brands to enter the EU and UK market, because as we know, they are different these days. Both from an EU consumer point of view, which is really important for US brands to understand and also from obviously the viewpoint of businesses in the US. So yeah, it's been really exciting and I've loved working with our partners in America,” said Hunt.

Hunt said what was supposed to be a part-time business venture has turned into an unexpected full-time success.

“It's been wild and I think I said earlier, bumpy at times,” she said, adding that she and her partner are able to run the business largely because they are both backed by very supportive families.

When thinking of advice for other female entrepreneurs, Hunt said trust your own judgment, stick to your values, and also listen to advice from those you surround yourself with.
