Probiota 2025: Entries open for Scientific Frontiers

It's time to submit abstracts for the prestigious Scientific Frontiers competition at the upcoming IPA World Congress + Probiota, scheduled for February 2025 in Copenhagen.

Following a record-breaking number of abstracts submitted in 2024, the international event offers a platform for cutting-edge research on probiotics, prebiotics and the microbiome.

Researchers can submit their work in one of two categories: Industry Research and Student-led Research.

A panel of leading experts in the microbiome field will review all abstracts, and successful applicants will present their findings in a poster format at the conference.

These authors will also receive a 30% discount on their delegate registration fee and a Scientific Frontiers certificate, recognizing their contribution to advancing microbiome science.

In addition, the top-rated abstracts in each category will receive special honors. The highest-ranked industry submission will earn a complimentary delegate place at the congress, along with the chance to present their research live on stage as part of the program and a Scientific Frontiers trophy.

For students, the top abstract comes with an all-expenses-paid* trip to the congress and the opportunity to present their research to a global audience of microbiota experts, as well as a Scientific Frontiers trophy.

All accepted abstracts will also be featured on the NutraIngredients website, providing extended exposure to a broader audience beyond the event.

Submissions are encouraged from researchers in all areas of microbiome science, including academia, industry and consumer health. NutraIngredients is particularly interested in novel or early-stage research covering topics like host-microbe interactions in health and disease, innovations in production processes, biomarker discovery and consumer insights.

The potential for commercial applications should be highlighted to support Probiota's mission of fostering collaboration between academia and industry.

* The all-expenses-paid trip to attend Probiota 2025 is awarded to one student author and covers a delegate pass for full access to all three days of the event, two nights of hotel accommodation at the venue, lunch on Feb. 5-7, and dinner on Feb. 6 at the Probiota Social Evening.

It also includes return economy travel up to €500, with reimbursement provided upon receipt of invoices. Any additional expenses are the responsibility of the author.

For the top industry abstract, a complimentary delegate pass is provided, granting access to all three days and networking events. It does not cover accommodation, travel or other expenses.
