The final awards will be presented at a VIP NutraIngredients Party in Barcelona on the night of May 21, where industry talent will be recognized, and attendees can come together to celebrate the 11th iteration of the awards.
“Judges asked for true innovation and products addressing critical unmet needs - solutions that will help European consumers achieve key health goals and simply make their lives better,” said chair of the NutraIngredients Awards, Ewa Hudson.
“We sought solid scientific research to substantiate applications, as well as numbers and details to back up commercial success.
“We called for sustainable nutra solutions that will take us a step further towards meeting UN SDGs and prove that creating long-standing value at the source is within our reach.”
The applications, in particular, the finalists, did not disappoint, she explained.
“I’m pleased to say – we got it all. The purpose was to create products that serve the greater good and the diversity in the offerings was unprecedented. Care for people simply vibrated from the entries. It was that care that drove the innovation, aligning solutions to consumer needs, specific to sex and life stage,” Hudson said.
“Congratulations to everyone who made it to the finals, it is a fantastic achievement and I wish all the finalists the very best of luck as you move forward to the next stage of this competition.”
