WATCH: Life-Space targets all gut-axes post award win

Life-Space is planning to increase its offerings for gut-skin and gut-brain axes, as well as the gut-muscle and gut-bone axes as it dabbles into the healthy longevity space.
“We are trying to target all gut-axes,” Yvonne Kim, head of technical and regulatory at Life-Space told NutraIngredients.
The company is established for its probiotics for infant and maternal health, and immunity, and is now beefing up efforts into other gut-axes.
Dabur India sets aside US$56M to invest in health, Ayurveda, food businesses

Dabur India Limited will set aside funds of up to INR$5 billion (US$56 million) to invest in health, ayurveda and food businesses operating in the e-commerce space.
The funds will be allocated via Dabur Ventures, an investment platform launched on October 31.
India-based digital-first companies with strong growth potential and are aligned with the firm’s long-term strategic vision are targets for investment.

Haleon, the company behind household brands such as Centrum, Caltrate and Sensodyne, is seeking industry and research partnerships to advance self-care.
Speaking to NutraIngredients on the sidelines of Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH), Alicia Ng, vice president and head of R&D for Wider Asia at Haleon, highlighted that self-care represents the future of consumer health in Asia-Pacific.
She said that the company would like to partner with start-ups in developing digital devices that consumers could use as a form of self-assessment before having to visit a doctor.
DrinkAid’s co-founder ventures into performance nutrition with creatine gummies

Ryan Foo, co-founder of Singapore-based hangover prevention firm DrinkAid, is venturing into the sports nutrition space with the upcoming launch of creatine gummies through his new business FOULPLAY.
This is Foo’s second business venture in the supplements space, building on his experience in the anti-hangover space through DrinkAid set up with co-founder Solomon Poon in 2020.
Preparation for FOULPLAY started about 1.5 years ago, as more people started paying attention to health and wellness.

Thai dietary supplement company Boost Up Life Center (Thailand) Co. Ltd is seeking expansion across South East Asia, with its CEO citing US brand Now Foods as its target and inspiration.
The company hopes to expand into neighbouring markets like Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
So far, the company has launched 29 SKUs under the brand Life Vitamins in its domestic market and about six of them in Laos.
