Probiota Americas, taking place at the Westin Bayshore, Vancouver, June 8 to 10, 2026, aims to bridge the gaps between cutting-edge science, business strategy and key regulatory developments in the microbiome, probiotic and prebiotic markets.
The three-day event will bring together industry leaders, academics and key stakeholders for otherwise impossible networking opportunities, in addition to interactive presentations and debates that look to share new data, drive new science, boost business growth and aid product development in the rapidly growing and overlapping fields of probiotics, prebiotics and the microbiome.
Calling all pioneering start-ups!
There has never been a better time to launch a start-up in this field. As major universities look to spin-out and license key discoveries, global food and pharma businesses open venture funds and external innovation programs and incubators to draw innovative entrepreneurs into their orbit —there are rich pickings for probiotic, prebiotic and microbiome pioneers in search of money, experience and a global platform for their ideas.
But how can you win in a competitive environment?
NutraIngredients is seeking science- or technology-based entrepreneurial start-ups to join our Probiota Pioneers session and pitch their company and ideas to a room full of experts.
Successful Probiota Pioneers will receive:
- Attendance at Probiota Americas 2026: Gain full access to the comprehensive program, including expert presentations, interactive sessions and networking opportunities with some of the biggest names in the industry.
- Presentation of your company on stage: Participate in the live “Pioneers Panel,” where you can showcase your business to a large audience of experts and stakeholders.
- Feature in the Networking Area: Your business will have a dedicated presence in the “Start-Up Hub,” providing a base for networking and making valuable connections.
- Media exposure: Receive coverage in NutraIngredients, including preview articles and multimedia coverage that will enhance your company’s visibility.
To be eligible all companies must:
- Be a start-up that is founded in the Americas (North & South America)
- Have fewer than 20 employees
- Have been founded in past 10 years
- Be ‘ independently owned’. This is defined as a business that is substantially owned by its founders and/or a group of independent investors; is not quoted on AIM or any other stock market; and is not a subsidiary or associated company of another business.
- Be at Series A funding stage or earlier
By entering this competition, companies must confirm that, if selected as a winner, they will be available to attend Probiota Americas 2026 in person.
