Solabia Group has officially closed its acquisition of Swiss active ingredients specialist Mibelle Biochemistry from Persán.

The acquisition terms were announced earlier this year, uniting Solabia’s global footprint with Mibelle’s plant-based innovation and advanced biotechnology.

“This acquisition reflects Solabia’s strategic ambition to reinforce its position as a key player at the intersection of nutrition and cosmetics,” Mathieu Pinault, director of cosmetics, nutrition and pharmacy at Solabia, told NutraIngredients.

He continued: “By bringing together Solabia’s expertise in natural active ingredients and Mibelle Biochemistry’s strong scientific capabilities and innovation pipeline, the Group is creating powerful synergies to accelerate the development of next-generation solutions. This integration will enable Solabia to better address major global trends such as healthy ageing, holistic well-being, and the growing demand for high-performance, science-backed ingredients across both industries.”

“Our teams share the same commitment to scientific excellence, sustainable innovation and customer proximity. Together, we are now even better positioned to support our customers with a broader, stronger and highly complementary range of ingredients,” Jean-Baptiste Dellon, CEO of Solabia, said in a press release.
