Market research companies Euromonitor and GlobalData will present insights on consumer trends developing across Asia-Pacific, especially on functional health trends, pet nutrition and healthy longevity.

Vitafoods Asia 2026, taking place in Bangkok next week on September 2-4, will feature various presentations and innovation tours on trending topics in Asia-Pacific’s nutraceutical space.

On the first day, GlobalData’s Business Development Manager Paul Savuriar will present the topic “From Consumer Need to Commercial Success: The Functional Health Trends Driving Growth Across Asia”.

He will touch on how evolving health priorities, including healthy aging, digestive wellness, immunity, metabolic health and mental wellbeing, are driving demand for health products.

He will also explore how these needs are influencing product innovation across categories and how data-driven insights can help identify the next opportunities for growth in functional health.

As the pet nutrition market continues to grow, one of the talks will be dedicated to addressing growth in this sector.

On day two, Sahiba Puri, global insight manager, pet care at Euromonitor, will speak on the topic “Decoding pet care’s Asia growth story: From manufacturing strength to consumer trends.”

Attendees can also expect to hear from other speakers on the topic of pet nutrition.

David J Foreman, president at Herbal Pharmacist, for example, will present the topic “Bridging the Human-Pet Ingredient Gap” on day two of the trade show, where he will explore how the humanization of pet wellness is reshaping the nutraceutical market and raising expectations for scientifically validated species-specific products.

Another Euromonitor speaker, Jing Yong, senior client consultant at Euromonitor International, Singapore, will dive into health and longevity, where she will analyze the brand claims on health and sustainability.

Her talk on the last day of the show will examine how brands are positioning their products around health benefits and sustainability promises, as well as regulatory frameworks, substantiation requirements, and the challenges of balancing efficacy messaging with compliance.

Innovation tours

Apart from presentation conferences, the trade show will also highlight emerging market trends through innovation tours.

The hour-long tour takes place two to three times a day. Key topics covered include longevity, sports nutrition, brain health, and beauty-from-within.

The tours will run at 1130am, 2 pm and 4 pm on the first two days of the show. Only the first two tours will be conducted on the last day of the show. Tours will begin in front of Hall 5 at level G.

Attendees can also find out new market trends at the New Products Zone and Tasting Bar, which will showcase how ingredient suppliers are responding to evolving market trends and industry challenges.

“As consumers in Asia — and globally — look beyond lifespan towards healthspan, brands are seeking new ways to tailor wellness to a wider variety of needs. Vitafoods Asia will reflect the pace at which demand for innovative nutrition solutions is accelerating across Asia-Pacific,” said Rose Chitanuwat, regional portfolio director, Informa Markets. “This year’s expanded edition will welcome even more exhibitors from across the nutraceutical supply chain, creating greater opportunities to explore emerging areas of growth.”
