The formulations feature enfinity paraxanthine, sageXtra sage extract, PeptiSleep peptides and AstaReal astaxanthin, and both use TSI’s FZZR delivery technology. The supplements will be distributed as samples at the trade show rather than sold commercially, and the companies have not disclosed clinical testing of the finished formulations.
“While RISE + RESTORE is not an official commercial product launch, it demonstrates a growing industry willingness to collaborate around consumer outcomes rather than individual brands or ingredients,” Heather Granato, president of WIN, said in the press release.
Two formulations, four branded ingredients
As detailed in the release, RISE AM is a caffeine-free formulation intended to support daytime energy and cognitive performance. It contains enfinity, TSI Group’s branded paraxanthine ingredient, and sageXtra, a non-stimulant cognitive health ingredient from Stratum Nutrition derived from Salvia officinalis.
Paraxanthine is the primary metabolite of caffeine in the human body.
RESTORE PM is a melatonin-free formulation targeting nighttime wellness and sleep. It combines PeptiSleep, an artificial intelligence (AI)-discovered peptide ingredient from Nuritas derived from brown rice, with AstaReal’s astaxanthin, sourced from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis.
The companies described the ingredients as complementary but did not provide dosages or data on the effects of the combined formulations.
Granato, who is also president of Nutrachievement Inc., told NutraIngredients that the project began with discussions with TSI Group before other suppliers were selected based on their clinically studied ingredients and the intended health benefits.
“This was an example of how we all work best when we bring different perspectives to the table,” she said.
Blake Haynes, public relations and communications manager at Stratum Nutrition, said the project was about more than combining ingredients.
“This collaboration goes beyond bringing innovative ingredients together,” Haynes told NutraIngredients.
“It demonstrates the power of industry partnerships to challenge conventional thinking, elevate science-backed wellness, and turn bold ideas into meaningful solutions for consumers,” he added.
Delivery format and formulation
TSI Group’s FZZR technology allows the contents of a sachet to be consumed directly on the tongue, chewed or mixed with water.
According to TSI, the format can accommodate multiple active ingredients in a single serving, offering an alternative to tablets and capsules.
The technology also allows ingredients targeting different health functions to be combined in one portable product.
Granato said the work could have applications beyond the two prototypes.
“Partnerships between ingredient suppliers and CMOs can result in prototypes that spark even more new ideas among the entrepreneurs, formulators and marketers in the industry,” she told NI, referring to contract manufacturing organizations.
WIN’s role in the collaboration
All four companies sponsor WIN, a nonprofit organization that supports women in the nutraceutical industry through education, mentorship and networking.
Granato said the relationships between participating companies were an important part of the project.
“When we find people with whom we share important core values, we have an opportunity to build relationships that yield substantive results for our business, our industry and our consumers,” she told NI.
Complimentary samples of RISE AM and RESTORE PM will be available at participating company booths during SupplySide Global and at WIN’s evening networking event.
