Recent new product developments from across the supplements market reveal a high demand for convenient formats, indulgent new flavors and creatine creativity.

Creatine and Crank from ESN

ESN has announced the UK launch of two new additions to its performance range: peach-flavored Ultrapure Creatine Gummies, and Crankthe brand’s most advanced 3-in-1 pre-workout formula to date.

ESN’s new Ultrapure Creatine Gummies “bring together science-backed performance in a convenient, delicious snack that makes daily use easier than ever.”

The launch follows reports that consumers find traditional forms of powdered creatine unappealing and difficult to fit into their daily routines.

Made with stabilized creatine monohydrate, each serving of Ultrapure Creatine Gummies delivers 3.4 grams of pure creatine, “tested and verified for quality and efficacy.”

Unlike pre-workouts that rely solely on high-stim caffeine jolts, Crank promises a “comprehensive, science-backed formula for training performance through premium ingredients and proven dosages.”

Available in Fruit Punch and Blue Raspberry flavors, the product contains caffeine, beta-alanine, taurine and GBB, L-citrulline, L-arginine, theobromine, betaine, potassium, natural sea salt, L-tyrosine, huperzine A and vitamin B6.

“Creatine is one of the most effective supplements for improving physical performance, but for years, the format has been a barrier, alongside a lack of education on creatine’s wide-ranging benefits,” said Mike O’Leary PhD, a sports nutrition specialist and head of product at ESN. “We wanted to create something that not only works but that people actually enjoy taking. Our Ultrapure Creatine Gummies do just that.”

VOW Nutrition is launching its new Collagen Chews in Holland & Barrett this January as part of a wider move into chewable and gummy formats to tap into the popularity of convenience-first formats.

“We have watched the health and wellness industry shift rapidly toward convenience first products, with many consumers now choosing bars, ready-to-drink shakes, gummies and chewables instead of traditional powders,” Simon Stevens, founder and CEO of Vow Nutrtiion, told NI, adding that “VOW Collagen Chews provide a way for busy, health-conscious adults to maintain their daily collagen intake without capsules, powders or mixing.”

Each chew delivers 1000 mg of high-quality bovine collagen (two chews per day recommended) in a convenient format that should encourage daily adherence.

High quality colostrum

Single-handedly bootstrapped by 29-year-old founder Oliwia Romanowska, colostrum supplement startup Loustra has entered the market with the aim to fill a significant gap for high quality gut, skin and immunity supporting colostrum products.

After completing her master’s degree in entrepreneurship and beginning her career with beauty startups, Romanowska spotted a white space for her own innovation.

“I noticed a gap in the market for colostrum. I used it myself when I suffered a number of health problems as a result of hormonal imbalances,” she said. “I found colostrum really helped me with my skin as well as my digestion. Colostrum is packed with immunoglobulins which boost your body’s natural collagen production and helps the body to heal itself.”

The powdered product contains ‘ethically sourced’ calf-fed first colostrum from grass-fed cows from Polish supplier Colvia, alongside aronia berry extract, which is naturally rich in antioxidants and vitamins and provides a natural berry flavor.

“It’s the most antioxidant-rich berry out there, and it’s packed with vitamins C and D, so the two ingredients partner really well to provide the target health benefits,” Romanowska said.

The fledgling entrepreneur believes her product could appeal to a wide range of consumers, but she will first focus her influencer targeting campaign on high-performance athletes before looking into more ‘expensive’ influencer markets such as beauty.

CBD canned drinks brand TRIP has experienced NPD success with the launch of its new flavor Cherry Lemon after the product went viral on social media.

The new SKU, launched last week, garnered an unprecedented response online with 2,500 posts and $2 million in EMV sales in one week, James Edmunds, the firm’s managing director informed in a LinkedIn post on Dec. 3.

The new flavor offers nostalgic flavors of crushed cherries, sweet berries and tangy lemon and has become ”an instant best seller" in WholeFoods across both the United States and United Kingdom, according to Edmunds.

James Smith, the co-founder of Neutonic—known by many in the industry for uncovering widespread underdosing in creatine gummies—has revealed his brand’s new range of stick pack creatine supplements, which he says will finally help consumers take to their creatine daily and “actually reap the benefits” they’re seeking.

With each travel friendly and easy-to-use stick pack available in a range of flavors and containing 5 grams of Creapure creatine monohydrate from Alzchem Trostberg, Smith presents the product as an easy and enjoyable creatine solution without the dosage uncertainties that come with gummies.

Liposomal supplement brand Zooki has launched a new acai berry flavor vitamin C SKU.

Grenade ‘raises the bar’ with Crème Egg collab

Grenade has revealed its “best protein bar ever” in collaboration with Cadbury Creme Egg.

On pre-sale now and with a limited run available on UK retail shelves from January until April 2026, the new SKU promises shoppers ‘next level’ protein indulgence.

“I can quite confidently say it’s our best bar ever,” the brand’s founder Alan Barrett told NutraIngredients. “We’ve taken what people love about Grenade and paired it with the most iconic Easter treat to raise the bar—pardon the pun—on what people should expect from their snacks.”

“It’s also a first for us as the bar has a ‘soft core’—something we’ve never done before.”

The brand’s softest core yet is made from “light, fluffy protein dough” to form the yolk-colored Crème Egg flavored filling, with the bar providing 13 grams of protein and two grams of sugar.

After the resounding success of the Grenade-Oreo collaboration, the team expects this launch to hit the ground running and help the brand reach new audiences.

“The Grenade-Oreo collaboration proved an instant hit and has continued to lead the charge as our best-selling bar since, with the Oreo White variant in second place too,” Barratt said.
