It’s not too late to register! NutraIngredients-USA’s annual Beauty-from-Within webinar will return July 16 with a new panel of experts to examine the science, innovation and market forces shaping the nutricosmetics category.

The 60-minute webinar, which will take place at 11 a.m. CDT, will explore how established ingredients such as collagen and biotin continue to evolve, what emerging bioactives are gaining traction and how brands are responding to consumer demand for clinically backed, whole-body beauty solutions.

Moderated by Danielle Masterson, editor of NutraIngredients-USA, this free webinar will feature:

  • Sherry Frey, vice president of total wellness at NielsenIQ
  • Paula Simpson, innovation, product development and branding consultant at Nutribloom Consulting
  • Aaron Hefter, founder and president of Imaraïs Beauty; and
  • Cassandra Stern, deputy editor of NutraIngredients-USA

“Beauty from within is no longer just about collagen or appearance,” Frey said.

“Consumers are increasingly connecting beauty to whole-body wellness, looking at hydration, gut health, metabolic health, healthy aging and mental wellbeing as part of a broader beauty journey.”

She added that the future of the category will be defined by convergence, as consumers blur the lines between foods, beverages, supplements and beauty products in search of solutions that deliver both visible results and long-term health benefits.

Science, transparency and personalization

Simpson said she is looking forward to discussing the shift back toward mechanistic science, where ingredients and formulations are increasingly grounded in cellular pathways and systemic biology that may influence appearance.

“This, alongside rising consumer expectations for clinical validation, personalization and transparency, is bridging the gap between education and scientific validation for nutricosmetics,” she said.

She added that the panel will also explore how trends are affecting legacy ingredients like collagen, as well as how macro-lifestyle drivers, including GLP-1 use, are shaping demand for solutions that support skin integrity and address concerns such as hair thinning.

Building a global beauty-from-within brand

Hefter said he will bring the perspective of building a beauty-from-within brand from the ground up and seeing firsthand how quickly the category is evolving globally.

“As consumers increasingly seek clinically backed, ingestible solutions that complement traditional skincare, I believe we’re witnessing a fundamental shift in the future of beauty,” he said.

“I look forward to sharing insights on innovation, retail expansion, scientific validation and what it takes to scale a modern beauty brand in today’s global marketplace.”

What can consumers really see?

Stern said the discussion will also address one of the category’s central questions: whether beauty-from-within products can deliver measurable, visible benefits.

“Consumers are asking smarter questions about what these products can actually do, how long results may take and which claims are backed by meaningful evidence,” Stern said.

“That makes this a critical moment for brands to connect strong science with clear, responsible communication.”

The webinar will examine the companies driving the sector, the ingredients gaining attention, the mechanisms behind key bioactives and how science is influencing product design and marketing.
