Asia is a strategically important market, particularly due to the region’s strong interest in science-backed natural ingredient solutions and a dynamic nutraceutical industry, according to Tomás Muñoz Gutiérrez, Commercial Director (APAC) at Monteloeder by SuanNutra.
The company’s long-term ambition is to strengthen its position as a global partner for these ingredient solutions. To achieve greater international reach, it aims to continue building a portfolio that responds to some of the most relevant areas shaping the future of health and nutrition.
Speaking to NutraIngredients at Vitafoods Asia 2026, held in Bangkok from September 2 to 4, Gutiérrez said that SuanNutra’s approach is centred on combining scientific expertise and clinical innovation with local partnership and market-specific strategies.
“Rather than applying a single global formula, we want to work closely with our customers and partners to understand their local needs, and translate our portfolio and innovation capabilities into solutions that are relevant for the market,” Gutiérrez added.
Through the company’s Visible Health Platform, a framework designed to turn clinical science into tangible, consumer-perceivable benefits, it looks to create a clear innovation architecture around metabolic health, beauty from within, and well-being.
“Ultimately, our goal is not to simply expand our portfolio, but to create more value around the science that we have, and differentiation and solutions that can be escalated across several markets.”
New study findings
The Visible Radiance arm of the Platform is targeted at healthier-looking skin, stronger hair, and visible signs of inner beauty.
On September 2, Monteloeder announced findings from a new preclinical trial published in Biomolecules for an ingredient called Elissara, which was previously marketed under the name Zeropollution.
Elissara is a proprietary combination of four herbs—standardized extracts of lemon verbena (Lippia citriodora), olive leaf (Olea europaea), Japanese pagoda tree (Styphnolobium japonicum), and rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)—, formulated to support the scalp’s environment for more vibrant and resilient hair.
The bioactive phenolic compounds, including verbascoside, oleuropein, hydroxytyrosol, quercetin, and rosemary-derived diterpenes (carnosol and carnosic acid), are said to work together to provide a broad spectrum of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.
Results showed that Elissara influenced multiple biological pathways associated with healthy follicle function and the hair growth cycle. In human dermal papilla cells, Elissara increased cell proliferation to approximately 2.5 times that of untreated controls.
In human scalp explants, it increased both collagen and signaling proteins linked to markers involved in cell proliferation, structural support, and follicular signaling.
Additionally, it was found to help preserve growth-signaling IGF-1 protein levels important for hair follicle development under environmental stress, as well as reduce markers of oxidative damage in scalp tissue exposed to PM2.5 pollution and UVA-induced environmental stress.
Reinforcing the science
Another beauty from within ingredient, Nutroxsun 365, is a blend of rosemary and grapefruit extracts to preserve collagen and elastin structure, maintain dermal matrix, and provide antioxidant and cellular health support.
Results from various clinical studies have shown measurable improvements in wrinkle appearance in the crow’s feet area, skin elasticity, and structural resilience.
Gutiérrez shared that a new clinical trial conducted on Nutroxsun 365 involves 10% of participants from China, and that the company is evaluating the inclusion of Asian populations for future studies as well.
In terms of metabolic health, Monteloeder is focused on reduced cravings, better appetite control, and sustained energy.
Its key product under this category is Metabolaid, which is backed by five clinical trials showing efficacy in reducing body weight, BMI and hip circumference, increasing GLP-1 secretion, and improving cardiovascular factors such as cholesterol and blood pressure levels.
“Our strategy is to keep reinforcing the science, and to develop new solutions that meet market demands. We are also following very closely on women’s health, which is a segment that is increasingly growing,” said Gutiérrez.
