Mexican company Mexi Aloe Laboratories is launching its Aloe's
Passion Drink in France this month.

Mexi Aloe Laboratories is launching a new nutraceutical drink in France called Aloe's Passion Drink. Combining the nutritional benefits of aloe vera and passion fruit juices, the drink claims to help both the immune and the digestive systems.

Manufactured by Mexi Aloe Laboratories in Mexico, the product is under licence from US-based Bionature. It is available in original or diet form, the latter being suitable for diabetics, and is described as a "unique product with a very pleasant taste, created to comply with today's customers demand for a high quality, effective nutraceutical drink".

The drink is made from organically grown aloe vera barbadensis juice - its main ingredient - and passion fruit juice. It combines a veritable plethora of natural products as it is rich in polysaccharides, amino acids and enzymes coming from aloe vera along with the benefits of potassium, phosphorus, calcium and vitamin A and C contained in the passion fruit.

Aloe vera barbadensis is a tropical plant with sharp edged leaves containing a viscous but transparent gel. According to the manufacturers, scientific studies have proven that this gel has been used medically for over 4,000 years.

Aloe vera is also said to contain antiseptic agents capable of destroying micro-organisms to help eliminate internal and external infections as well as assisting in the reduction of discomfort caused by gastritis, healing ulcers, and relieving acid indigestion. It can also help relieve arthritis pain and sore muscles, according to Mexi Aloe Laboratories.

The manufacturers informed NutraIngredients.com that talks are also currently underway for its release in Germany and Eastern Europe. The drink will be available in 500ml bottles at a retail price of €3.00 per bottle.
