Salt Lake City based Weider Nutrition said yesterday it had boosted
its Schiff-branded joint care supplements by adding hyaluronic acid
to the Move Free product line.
Salt Lake City based Weider Nutrition has launched a new
Schiff-branded joint care supplement that combines an antioxidant,
hyaluronic acid (HA) and glucosamine for faster-acting relief.
A new ingredient, said to contain more than 60 trace minerals, is
being billed as the next joint health supplement and is set for
launch on the European marketplace next month.
A review of almost 50 glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM supplements
shows that some are unlikely to help patients with joint disease as
they do not contain sufficient amounts of the declared ingredients.
Taking oral glucosamine sulphate and chondroitin sulphate could be
a safe and effective way of treating knee osteoarthritis, report a
team of Belgian and French researchers.
